Dr. Fitzgerald’s farrier background gives him added perspective when managing foot lameness or other foot related problems. It also allows him to treat some conditions without calling out your farrier for a special trip. Rest assured, we strive to work with your own farrier whenever possible, but we also have good relationships with other local farriers skilled in dealing with veterinary cases.
Ask any farrier if they could do their job better if they had x-ray vision! Let us come to your barn the next time your farrier is scheduled and allow us to take digital x-rays of your problem horse’s feet. Your farrier will love the added information it gives him or her. Together with your farrier, we can formulate a plan ensure your horse’s feet are in the best shape possible.
